Last December, Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser officially signed into law the Death and Dignity Act of 2016, which essentially allows doctors and physicians to give terminally ill patients above the age of 18 life-ending medication. Now, roughly seven months later, that law is finally being implemented.
Of course, there are some regulations. In order for a person to legally commit suicide in Washington D.C., that individual must be working closely with licensed doctors and pharmacies that are morally okay with the idea of giving one of their patients life-ending medication.
In addition to this, patients are required to speak with their doctor and ask for permission to end their life two times, with fifteen days between each request. Before the second request, the patient must fill out an official city form confirming that they do in fact wish to commit suicide.
The program, which will be overseen by the Department of Health in Washington D.C., will also not allow a person to take his or her life in public for obvious reasons. To do so would not only be unnecessary, but also very disturbing for those who would be forced to witness it.
The debate over assisted suicide has been going on for many years now, and needless to say, there are some significant ethical problems with it. Just because something is legal does not necessarily mean it is moral – abortion is legal in all fifty states but it is quite possibly one of the most immoral practices our society takes part in. And if there’s one thing that our Founding Fathers made clear during the time of America’s birth, it’s that our society simply cannot go on unless the people and those who govern them are moral in nature.
Human beings should not play God. They shouldn’t be the ones that determine how and when someone dies, nor should they support laws that legalize that kind of a process. It is impossible to know with one hundred percent certainty what someone’s fate will be, even if they are terminally ill and expected to die. That being said, what gives someone the right to prematurely take the life of another human being, regardless of whether or not they are asking for it?
In the year 1994, Jeannette Hall of King City, Oregon, voted to legalize physician-assisted suicide in the United States. “I thought, hey, I wouldn’t want anyone to suffer,” Hall said in an interview back in 2015 with The Daily Signal. “So I checked it. Then it became legal.”
Jeanette would never have thought that just six years after voting to legalize assisted suicide, she would be diagnosed with inoperable colon cancer. After hearing the bad news, Hall said that the doctors asked her to choose between chemotherapy and ending her life with a lethal dose of barbiturates, a drug that is most commonly used as a central nervous system depressant.
“I wasn’t going to do it,” Hall said of the chemotherapy. “I looked for the easy way out.” However, Dr. Kenneth Stevens, one of Hall’s two cancer doctors, was determined to convince her to choose life over death. He believed that Jeanette, who was only in her mid 50s at the time, had so much more to live for.
Stevens eventually found out that Jeanette had a son who at the time was going through training to become a state trooper. “Wouldn’t you like to see him graduate? Wouldn’t you like to see him get married?” Stevens asked Hall in one last attempt to save her life.
Hall later explained to The Daily Signal how the thought of never being able to see her son grow up and live a happy life ultimately deterred her from going through with the assisted suicide. Hall instead chose to fight the cancer with chemotherapy and went on to live for another 15 years.
Assisted suicide is not something that our society should be embracing. Instead, we should be encouraging people to live their lives to the fullest and to never give up hope, because as long as there is hope, anything is possible – even beating the odds against a terminal illness.
There are three types of politicians that inhabit the political cesspool that is Washington DC. The first type consists of those who actually demonstrate their intelligence on a regular basis by being vocal advocates for liberty and constitutionalism. The second type are the politicians that know how to sound intelligent, but really aren’t. And the third type consists of those who reside in Washington D.C. but really should be spending the majority of their time sitting on a couch being psychologically evaluated.
One of the most obvious examples of a politician who falls under the “type three” category is Arizona Senator John McCain.
McCain, who will be turning 81 this August, is considered by most conservatives to be a RINO, or Republican in name only. In the past, he has made several statements in support of the idea of man-made climate change, and he once referred to the Republican Party’s more conservative members, such as Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, as “wacko birds.” More recently, McCain has sided with the Democrats and the liberal media, and compared Trump’s firing of James Comey to Watergate. But it isn’t just political knowledge that McCain lacks; indeed, many are beginning to question if the Arizona Senator still has the mental capacity to serve the American people in Washington D.C.
During former FBI Director James Comey’s hearing yesterday before the Senate Intelligence Committee, John McCain’s line of questioning was, in a word, nonsensical. “You reached that conclusion as far as Secretary Clinton was concerned, but you’re not reaching a conclusion as far as this administration is concerned,” McCain said, evidently trying to draw some kind of a distinction between the Clinton email scandal and the Russia investigation. Comey was then forced to explain to McCain that the two probes were not related to one another.
Not long after the end of the hearing, McCain issued a statement in an attempt to explain himself, but sadly, the 80-year-old Republican only made things worse. “I get the sense from Twitter that my line of questioning today went over people’s heads. Maybe going forward I shouldn’t stay up late watching the Diamondbacks night games,” he said. The Senator then went on to try to explain the point he was trying to make during the hearing, but even his follow-up explanation demonstrated that he still didn’t really understand what was going on.
Nancy Pelosi is yet another example of a politician who has been causing people to scratch their heads in confusion for years. Who could forget the time when Pelosi attempted to make a case for the Affordable Care Act, arguing that we had to pass the bill so that we could then find out what’s in it? Then, of course, there was the time when Pelosi was caught on hot mic instructing a Democratic congressman to tell a crowd of anti-Trump protesters that he is a Muslim. But when it comes to Nancy Pelosi, one of the most blatant examples that she may very well be too mentally unstable to serve in Washington D.C. is demonstrated in the video below, courtesy of The American Mirror:
With all due respect, Justice Ruth Ginsburg is not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed either. During her acceptance of an Allegheny College award, Ginsburg said, “Let’s hope members of Congress, the members that Allegheny College has already honored – Vice President Joe Biden and Senator John McCain, the women of the Senate, Senators Dianne Feinstein and Lindsey Graham – let’s hope that they and others of goodwill will lead in restoring harmonious work ways.”
Of course, Lindsey Graham is a male, yet Justice Ginsburg threw him into the category of “women of the Senate” along with Senator Dianne Feinstein. This past March, Ginsburg celebrated her 84th birthday.
If nothing else, John McCain, Nancy Pelosi and Justice Ginsburg are all perfect examples of why the United States should add a term limits amendment to the Constitution. There comes a point where you no longer have the mental capacity to properly serve the American people, and it’s clear that some in Washington D.C. have already reached that point.
It’s shocking to think that in some parts of the world GMO food and alcohol are legal, yet raw milk – a natural, nutritious food consumed by humans around the globe for centuries – is illegal. In recent years, raw milk has received a bad reputation due to several cases of foodborne illnesses.
Though extra care is needed when handling raw milk, why is it that they ban raw milk while modern, conventional agricultural systems linked to a host of illnesses have not resulted in the banning of these Frankenfoods? There is only one answer to that question: We are being controlled by the government and powerful monopolies that put profits before people.
Since raw milk cannot easily be commercialized or distributed, the dairy industry doesn’t want to see its popularity grow any further. Raw milk is usually produced by small family farms. Can you see why Big Dairy has been fighting to make this natural product illegal? They can’t get a piece of the pie. For years, the dairy industry has sent out highly paid lobbyists to twist the arms of money-greedy policy makers to unjustly terrorize family farms that are successful addressing the increased demand for unprocessed, fresh milk.
An increasing number of people want to know where their food comes from and how it’s produced. That’s something we at Natural News can only applaud. Yet the dairy industry, backed up by the government, seem to be on a different page.
Canadian farmer fights for raw milk
Since 1981, the sale of raw milk has been banned by the Canadian government out of fear of possible Salmonella, E. coli, and Listeria contaminations. Ontario has taken it a step further by restricting people from giving away raw milk for free. Outlawing raw milk, however, hasn’t stopped one farmer from providing this age-old nutritious food to the people.
According to Modern Farmer, raw milk outlaw Michael Schmidt has been in and out the Canadian Province Court of Ontario over the past couple of decades. His crime? The production and distribution of raw, unpasteurized milk. Given the fact that raw milk is illegal in Canada, Schmidt’s co-op has been operating without a license, thus violating the Canadian Milk Act. For nearly 25 years, Schmidt has been fighting to keep the raw milk flowing freely.
Though Schmidt wants to see raw milk legalized, he’s not even fighting for the outright legalization of raw milk in Canada. He just wants to give the people the freedom to make their own informed decisions with their own cow.
“It’s a total police state when it comes to raw milk here because there’s absolutely no leniency on any level,” he told Modern Farmer. “They are saying it’s the most dangerous substance you can think of and should never be allowed. There’s not even a proper scientific debate about it. It’s all on an emotional, fear-based level.”
In one of the latest court battles, Schmidt took up his claims against the Crown. Any day now, an Ontario judge could rule a permanent injunction against Schmidt’s co-op, prohibiting both the sale and purchase of raw milk, Food Safety News reported. If the judge rules against his case, then the distribution and probably the consumption of raw milk will be seen as a criminal act.
If Schmidt loses this case, all legal and court costs, totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars, could immediately fall upon him and his co-op members. Payments by others will not be permitted, Food Safety News noted.
Mark McAfee, the owner of Organic Pastures in California, where sales of organic milk are legal at retail locations, said, “sometimes it takes a big ugly incident to make enough ugly news to create change.” (Related: Track news headlines about food freedom at FoodFreedom.news.)

The total government lunacy of giving poor people food stamp money so they can buy processed junk food that causes cancer, diabetes and heart disease. (Food stamps should be limited to nutritious foods, not junk foods.)

The ridiculous belief that pension and retirement funds — including social security — will be able to pay out all their obligations without going bankrupt.
A public education system that refuses to teach children how to think for themselves and instead functions as an indoctrination system that demands obedience and conformity above all else.
The runaway stupidity of those who are piling money into overvalued tech stocks in the current stock market bubble, oblivious to P/E ratios, the history of market bubbles and why all financial bubbles come to an end.
The magical thinking of “scientists” who have created a mindless climate change cult of obedient zombies through a determined program of mass hypnosis of the population, which now hallucinates “climate change” causes behind every flood, drought, tornado or hurricane.
The idiocy of betting the entire sustainability of modern civilization on a power grid that will be taken out by space weather (Coronal Mass Ejection) events which NASA predicts will occur at about a 12% chance every decade.
The social structure of living in cities which are designed as “death traps” with no sustainable sources of food or water in the event of a catastrophic collapse.
I could go on, obviously. “Peak idiocy” has now achieved never-before-witnessed levels of irrationality, delusion, magical thinking and denial in every sector of society. There isn’t a single thing in society today that isn’t touched by peak idiocy: Government, education, finance, food, medicine, science, history, housing, mental health and so on.
Idiocy is spreading, disguised as political correctness
It’s not hard to find examples of what happens when peak idiocy takes hold in a given nation, driving its citizens to irrationality and delusion. America is right now perched on that tipping point, where the nation could easily fall into an unstoppable, self-reinforcing cycle of runaway idiocy on the political spectrum, eventually descending into something a lot like China’s “Cultural Revolution” which mass murdered intellectuals and established that nation’s current communist regime (complete with mandatory organ harvesting, imprisoning those who speak of political dissent, and blocking all websites the government doesn’t like).
Socialist Venezuela is a prime example of peak idiocy run amok. There, the population voted for exactly the idiot leadership they got: A mindless, moronic tyrant named Maduro who sits atop one of the world’s largest oil reserves but still can’t figure out how to enable his own people to not starve to death. Venezuela’s temperate climate allows abundant food production, yet the people there are digging through dumpsters in a desperate bid to stay alive. How can this be?
The answer is that Venezuela has reached its own “peak idiocy” rooted in Left-wing socialist delusions about economics, liberty and private property. When the Left takes hold of anything, it quickly destroys it, leaving behind a wake of human suffering, violence and death. Today’s Venezuela is tomorrow’s America is we don’t stop the delusional Left at every opportunity.
North Korea is another example of peak idiocy on parade. Under the iron fist of Kim Jong-Un, a sociopathic cult leader who has carried on his father’s tradition of demanding he be worshiped by his cult followers (i.e. Nork citizens), Kim Jong-Un has maintained political power by cutting off North Korea from the outside world and making his followers believe their misery is all America’s fault. Notably, North Koreans must adhere to the same kind of censorship, politically correct speech and delusional thinking that you now find spreading like a pandemic across California’s universities (like Berkeley).
America’s peak idiocy is found in the suicidal failures of the country to protect its own borders, its inability to limit voting rights to legal citizens, Obama’s transformation of the U.S. military into a transgender social experiment, the government’s runaway debt spending and the astonishing inability of the Republican majority in power to stand up for any principle whatsoever. The nation seems to be run by the mindless memes of a deliberately anti-American corporate media that’s deliberately pushing for a kind of Cultural Revolution overthrow of the government (and a nationwide descent into communist rule). This, of course, is parlayed as “tolerance.”
In all these cases, idiocy has been accelerated by the rush toward political correctness and so-called “tolerance” (which really means intolerance and the mass murder of those who do not conform to Leftist views). All the signs are already evident that America is careening toward the same outcome as China, North Korea or Venezuela, especially among Leftist student cultists who are just itching for a civil war so they can shoot and murder as many non-conformists as possible. What happens when the peak idiocy bubble bursts?
When “peak idiocy” is achieved by a critical mass of nations and leaders, insane things start to happen. Sadly, those “insane things” right now include the realm of nuclear weapons capable of obliterating tens of millions of people in a flash. Paul Craig Roberts sums it up nicely when it says:
The chances are high that life on earth is approaching its end. The responsibility lies heavily on the American people, whose success, due to the mistakes of others, made Americans think that they are exceptional and privileged. Unaware of the inhumane threat to all life that is embodied in the neoconservative claim that Americans are exceptional and indispensable, the self-satisfied American public is unaware of the consequences of such hubris. Hubris is leading them, and the entire world, to slaughter in thermo-nuclear war.
Roberts, by the way, is one of the most rational and level-headed people who has ever served in Washington. A former official under the Reagan administration, Roberts remembers a time when leaders in Washington behaved with rationality instead of runaway hubris and insanity. Those days, sadly, are long gone. Today, Roberts is vilified by the same mainstream media that attacks, defames and slanders any person who utters a single rational thought rooted in reality rather than delusion. In a world of deception, telling the truth has truly become a revolutionary act.
Conclusion: Peak idiocy leads to apocalyptic outcomes
We are all now living under the rule of truly delusional governments and dangerous, monopolistic corporate monstrosities such as Google, Facebook and Amazon.
Many governments of the world are right now on the verge of being overrun by their own people who are finally waking up to the utter failure of government idiocy. Everywhere you look, governments are precariously situated on the edge of the abyss: Brazil, Venezuela, Ecuador, the United States, Greece, Italy, France, Britain, Syria, Russia, North Korea, China and even Japan in some ways. Every one of these governments is just one critical event away from losing its grip — most likely through financial collapse — and being overthrown by its own angry, starving, impoverished populations who have been incessantly exploited, abused and lied to by corrupt government. Even Canada is about to undergo a brutal real estate bubble crash that will send many urban-dwelling Canadians into fits of anger and protest.
Governments are, almost by definition, incompetent organizations rooted in the desire for self preservation. This tells you that when they begin to lose control, they will start as many wars as necessary to try to maintain power.
International WAR is the ultimate demand mandate for domestic obedience. When governments begin to lose control, they ignite wars in order to keep their own people in line. This is “peak idiocy” achieving its full, glorious potential, where the mass destruction of entire foreign cities is deemed a necessary strategy for incompetent, corrupt government institutions to maintain power over their domestic populations.
We have now reached that point in human history. There is no walking this back, either, because the people of the world are increasingly coming to recognize that governments no longer serve the needs of human societies. The very idea of a centralized government, in other words, is becoming increasingly obsolete.
This is when large, national governments are the most dangerous: When they are approaching the possibility of their own extinction or abandonment. It is at this moment that we now face the greatest risk for the peak idiocy phenomenon to explode into a global suicide pact of nuclear exchange from which no nation can possibly emerge without severe damage to life, infrastructure, crop soils and the environment.
All national governments are insane… the very structure of centralized government is a grave threat to humanity
In other words, Kim Jong-Un isn’t the only insane leader on this planet. ALL governments are insane. ALL governments are suicidal. ALL governments are willing to murder tens of millions of innocent people if that’s what is necessary to stay in power.
We the People now watch in bewilderment as our world spirals out of control, with widespread extinction at the hands of incompetent government colliding with the mass mental conformity and delusional thinking demanded by the intolerant, insane Left. This cannot end well. This will not end in peace, humility, compassion and love for thy neighbor. It is vastly more likely to end in war, destruction, suffering, violence and the rise of totalitarian governments worldwide.
When peak idiocy has run its course, let us hope that whomever survives does not repeat the critical mistake in believing that centralized, tyrannical governments run by power-hungry, incompetent conformists can ever serve the interests of humanity. The real future belongs in the radical decentralization of all political power to the most “local” level possible. Only then can human civilization hope to live in anything resembling peace, sanity and sustainability.
For those of us who are awake, aware and conscious, the world looks increasingly insane… perhaps even hopeless. The emotional whiplash of political elections, outbreaks of war, government lies and cultural insanity can take a real toll on a person’s sense of hope for our world, and far too many goodhearted, sensitive people are right now being driven to a sense of despair.

Because you are awake and aware, it is vital that you retain your presence of mind and remain able to contribute to the rebuilding of the next society after the inevitable collapse of this one. Every rational person already knows that whatever is unsustainable must come to an end, and human civilization is presently structured on so many unsustainable phenomena that it’s almost hard to keep track of them all: The global debt bubble, the collapse of irrigation water for crops, the collapse of farming soils for food, the collapse of ocean ecosystems, the mass poisoning of the food supply with deadly herbicides, the collapse of rational education across western civilization, the collapse of law and order, the collapse of trust in government, the collapse of human fertility, the collapse of media credibility and even the collapse of the credibility of institutional science.
Notably, it only takes one large-scale trigger event to bring society to its knees for the simple reason that it is built upon a house of cards. That trigger event, by the way, could be something as simple as a single solar flare or North Korea EMP weapon that brings down the power grid. Current estimates reveal that such an event could result in a 90% reduction in the population of the United States, with most deaths occurring from starvation and disease. Yet even as the current structure of society will soon fail, humanity itself will not become extinct. Even if global death rates reach 90% as is predicted by some analysts, that still leaves roughly 700 million human beings on this planet to build a better society rooted in human liberty rather than global enslavement at the hands of tyrannical government. Notably, the largest percentage of deaths will likely occur in the most densely populated cities, invoking Darwin’s natural selection that eliminates those from the human gene pool who are least qualified to survive (and who tend to be the most delusional about reality).
It is my deepest hope that you and I survive this next great collapse and are able to constructively contribute to the rebuilding of a more just, more compassionate and more sane society that values life, liberty and happiness… all of which are currently under total assault from governments, tech giants (like Google and Facebook) and the entire “status quo” regime that currently runs this planet through deception, propaganda and pure EVIL.
