Mainstream media food propaganda claims CHIPS are better for you than an avocado

If there’s one nutrient that we need to consume on a daily basis, it’s protein. Not only does protein help us maintain and build up muscle mass, it curbs hunger and makes us less likely to snack in-between meals. Obtaining protein is commonly associated with meat consumption, but eating too much meat can have ill-effects on our bodies. So how then do we go about ensuring we get our daily dose of protein? Definitely not by reaching for a big of chips, that’s for sure.
Potato chips and french fries are not foods that immediately spring to mind when you think of possible protein sources, yet that’s what one article from the DailyMail.co.uk is claiming. Written by one Angela Dowden, the article states outright that McCain brand potato chips can help you meet your recommended daily intake of protein.
“Potatoes are only two percent protein, but this serving size provides a good proportion of our daily needs. The flour coating also contains protein,” wrote Dowden. She then notes that a 220 g bag of 22 McCain chips can deliver 6.6 g of protein in total. Dowden further states that a bag of McCain chips is better than a large avocado in terms of protein content since an avocado is packed with a mere 3.7 g of protein.
If we’re going to judge foods solely by their protein content, then you can definitely do so much better than potato chips. The sheer variety of fruits and vegetables available on the market means that there has to be at least a few reliable sources of plant-based protein. And, blessedly, there are:
  • Edamame – One cup of cooked edamame, or boiled green soybeans, can deliver 18 g of protein.
  • Tempeh – For every three ounces of tempeh, you get 16 of protein. What’s even better is that tempeh is a fermented food and is therefore easier to digest for some people.
  • Lentils – A half-cup serving will provide nine g of protein. Lentils have the added benefit of being low in calories too.
  • Black beans – With 7.6 g of protein for every half cup of cooked black beans, a full cup can provide a fair amount of this important nutrient.
Unlike McCain chips, these foods won’t make you pack on fat. According to FatSecret.co.uk, a 100 g serving of McCain Home Chips is composed of 25 percent fat and 69 percent carbohydrates. Never mind that the flour coating is also supposed to be a decent source of protein, in her own words. The cons far outweigh the pros, simple as that.
Dowden doesn’t seem to think so, however, because she wrote: “Although deemed an indulgence, chips can be more effective for diets.”
A lot of other foods are “effective for diets”, and none of them are as heavily processed or fat- and carbohydrate-laden as a big of chips.
Her other suggestions for plant-based protein sources were better than chips (such as quinoa, humus, and cashews), yet she seemed fixated on these unhealthy potato products. (Related: Plant-Based Protein Is Becoming Increasingly Popular.)
There’s nothing wrong with enjoying something indulgent every once in a while, but trying to pass it off as something that’s truly and totally good for you just won’t do.
If the comments section is anything to go by, Dowden’s propaganda-tinged love letter to potato chips was at least met with the reactions it deserved. As the top comment by user Graelwyn goes: “Avocado isn’t about the protein for goodness sake, it is about the healthy fats and vitamins. Do some research before writing such a ridiculously misleading article. Throw half an avocado with some chickenrice and vegetables and you have a very healthy, balanced meal. It might not be as enticing as fast food, but if packs much more of a nutritional punch and is a lot more filling.”

Amazon buys Whole Foods, creating the world’s largest marketplace of untested health products contaminated with heavy metals and pesticides

Amazon will acquire Whole Foods Market for $42 a share in a deal with a total value of $13.7 billion, according to multiple news reports (including CNBC), creating the world’s largest marketplace for untested health products contaminated with heavy metals and pesticides.
Neither Whole Foods nor Amazon tests every product it sells for heavy metals or pesticides. Both retailers rely on product providers to meet all USDA and FDA product safety requirements, but product manufacturers routinely misrepresent their own products for the simple reason that they almost never conduct their own testing, either. (Their suppliers lie to them, and in turn they lie to Whole Foods, and Whole Foods accepts that chain of lies as “fact” … which is, ironically, the same method by which the Washington Post writes fake news.)

Both Whole Foods and Amazon continue to sell products contaminated with heavy metals

Natural News has conducted extensive testing of off-the-shelf products from both Whole Foods and Amazon and has found alarming levels of toxic heavy metals like LEAD in products being retailed by both companies. Natural News has purchased, tested and identified numerous products sold by Amazon.com that contain alarming levels of toxic heavy metals, including lead and mercury.
For example, Amazon sells numerous ground turmeric root powders that we recently tested via ICP-MS, finding they contain alarming levels of toxic lead:
Personally, I would never sell products with lead levels that high. It doesn’t bother Jeff Bezos, however, who apparently has no limit whatsoever on how much toxic lead, cadmium, mercury or arsenic might be contained in the products they sell for profit.
In 2014, I met with a Whole Foods executive at their headquarters in Austin to hand them heavy metals lab data on the contaminated protein products they were selling. Instead of taking action to remove toxic heavy metals from their products, they ignored the problem and swept the problem under the rug. Whole Foods has since continued to act in a highly unethical manner, selling numerous products on their shelves that are contaminated with lead and other heavy metals.
The lack of ethics at Whole Foods, however, makes the company a perfect match for the lack of ethics at Amazon, another greed-driven retailer that also sells contaminated, toxic health products to unwary consumers. (Have you ever read the ingredients on the foods at the Whole Foods buffet? It’s full of GMOs and pesticides…)

Jeff Bezos turned the Washington Post into FAKE NEWS… will Whole Foods be turned into FAKE FOOD?

Notably, Jeff Bezos, the “Dr. Evil” globalist who purchased Washington Post (i.e. “Bezos’ Blog”) managed to very quickly turn it into a fake news rag that deliberately and maliciously fabricates fake news in an attempt to overthrow America’s constitutional Republic. Under the corruption of Bezos, the Washington Post has invented totally false news stories by citing fabricated “anonymous sources” to smear President Trump at every opportunity.
It only stands to reason that Whole Foods will follow the same path of corruption under Jeff Bezos, where “health foods” will become “fake foods” filled with garbage ingredients and toxic contaminants such as pesticides and lead.
Will Whole Foods even keep its promise to label everything it sells with GMO status by the year 2018? Don’t be surprised if Jeff Bezos withdraws that commitment, given how the Washington Post is in bed with Monsanto, DuPont and every evil manufacturer of GMOs and pesticide chemicals. The Washington Post “science” section reads like a public relations whorehouse for Monsanto.

Stop shopping at Whole Foods and start supporting smaller grocery chains that aren’t owned by an evil globalist who hates America

What’s the solution in all this? Stop shopping at Whole Foods. It’s about to be owned by an evil, unethical, anti-American globalist who loves Monsanto and hates democracy.
Instead, spend your money at local health food stores, local grocers and smaller grocery chains that offer organic and natural products. Don’t hand your money over to an evil globalist who produces fake news and sells contaminated products on a daily basis.
You can also, of course, shop for non-perishable items at the Health Ranger Store, where everything we sell is laboratory tested and verified before we offer it to the public (which is why we often have shortages on many products because we reject a lot of raw materials).

Even after James Comey outs the New York Times for fake news over Russia-Trump collusion, paper won’t correct the record

Unbelievably, even after fired FBI Director James Comey told members of the Senate Intelligence Committee last week that a February 14 story The New York Times ran implying “collusion” between Team Trump and “The Russians” was dead wrong, the paper still won’t make the necessary corrections.
Proving, once more, that in the Age of President Donald J. Trump, unsourced allegations, suppositions and innuendo can be substituted for factual reporting, so long as it is damaging to the current occupant of the White House or his staff.
During Comey’s much-anticipated testimony on Thursday, he was asked by a member of the intelligence panel about a Times report that claimed in its headline, “Trump Campaign Aides Had Repeated Contacts With Russian Intelligence.”
In the story it was reported that:
Phone records and intercepted calls show that members of Donald J. Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and other Trump associates had repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials in the year before the election, according to four current and former American officials.
American law enforcement and intelligence agencies intercepted the communications around the same time they were discovering evidence that Russia was trying to disrupt the presidential election by hacking into the Democratic National Committee, three of the officials said. The intelligence agencies then sought to learn whether the Trump campaign was colluding with the Russians on the hacking or other efforts to influence the election.
The Times said no evidence had yet been found to substantiate the claims, but nevertheless went on to report further details about the alleged contacts and resultant investigation. (RELATED: Americans aren’t fooled: 2/3 say ‘mainstream media’ is fake news)
There’s just one major problem with the report, per Comey himself, who ought to know: None of it was true.
“In the main,” the story “was not true,” Comey testified, adding that after the news broke, he found it so troubling that he made an inquiry within the U.S. intelligence community to make sure he hadn’t missed something.
He hadn’t.
Later, in response to a second question about the veracity of the Times report from Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Okla.:
“Would it be fair to characterize that story is almost entirely wrong?” said Cotton.
“Yes,” Comey said.
Upon hearing Comey’s testimony, the Times claimed it would ‘look into’ his statements and ‘report’ back:
“We are looking into James Comey’s statements, and we will report back with more information as soon as we can,” the paper tweeted.
However, after doing some further checking, which didn’t take long, the Times issued a statement in which the paper said it would stick by its initial story:
The New York Times has published an examination of Mr. Comey’s statements today, which reviews our previous coverage and found no evidence that any prior reporting was inaccurate. In fact, subsequent reporting by The Times and other media outlets has verified our reporting as the story makes clear.
Neither the FBI, nor Mr. Comey would comment or elaborate on what Mr. Comey believes to be incorrect. Should they provide more information, we would review that as well.
In other words, it doesn’t matter what the former FBI director says during sworn testimony, in which he is under penalty of perjury if he makes false statements. Nope; the Trump hate is too strong at the Times, so even fake news stories will stand if they cast a negative light on the Trump administration.
Remember when Trump suggested that he may attempt to hold the media legally liable for slanderous reporting and false accusations? Remember the outrage among the media and the political punditry class? This kind of garbage from the Times is precisely what Trump was talking about — a story that has been directly refuted by the former head of the FBI doesn’t even earn a correction from the “news” paper that published it. The Times should be held legally liable for it.
Meantime, the editors and reporters at the Times and the rest of the Trump-hating media have decided they will continue allowing themselves to be treated like presstitutes by the Deep State.

Fake science TV personality Bill Nye goes berserk when REAL scientist schools him on carbon dioxide

In case you still thought that TV personality Bill Nye was a real “science guy,” this ought to disabuse you of that belief.
In a recent interview on uber-Left-wing CNN, where kooks and crackpots like Nye are made to feel right at home, the mechanical engineer (that’s Nye) had a hissy fit when someone with legitimate brain power and knowledge challenged is Marxist orthodoxy regarding so-called “human-caused climate change/global warming.”
As reported by The Blaze, Nye – who gained notoriety during the 1990s with a kid’s “science” program, has since become a full-blown, dyed-in-the-wool convert to the church of global warming hoaxism. In his CNN appearance, he actually accused the network of doing a “disservice” to its viewers because they dared to have on a single dissenting climate change voice. (Related: Bill Nye goes FULL LUNATIC with vulgar transgender music video singing about “moist vagina” and how transgenderism is “evolution”.)
Nye, it seems, would have fit right in with Hitler’s Brown Shirts and propaganda operations, both of which sought to quash dissent and speech, not encourage debate and mutually beneficial solutions.
What’s worse, Nye’s angst was directed at an actual scientist, William Happer, who is a physicist at some obscure Ivy League school called Princeton University. Maybe you’ve heard of it.
Happer’s crime? He dared to call Nye’s bogus promotion of climate change a “myth.”
“There’s this myth that’s developed around carbon dioxide that it’s a pollutant, but you and I both exhale carbon dioxide with every breath,” Happer, who has advised President Donald J. Trump on issues dealing with the climate, said during the interview. “Each of us emits about two pounds of carbon dioxide a day, so are we polluting the planet?”
He went on to note that carbon dioxide “is a perfectly natural gas,” and that, like “water vapor,” it is a compound that is vital to the proliferation of plant life and oxygen-emitting trees. If the carbon dioxide goes away, like Nye and his fellow global warming hoaxers say, then he, they, and the rest of us will die like the planet.
Plants “grow better with more carbon dioxide, and you can see the greening of the earth already from additional carbon dioxide in the atmosphere,” Happer, the real scientist, noted.
Oh, but Nye, the ‘expert,’ countered by saying that the physicist he was debating did not get that the “rate,” or speed, of carbon dioxide introduction into the atmosphere was the real issue. Then he denigrated the network for daring to have this guy Happer on in the first place.
“And I will say, much as I love CNN, you’re doing a disservice by having one climate change skeptic and not 97 or 98 scientists or engineers concerned about climate change,” he said.
Oh. Thanks for clearing that up, “science guy.”
In any event, Happer was asked why he doubted the global warming claptrap, and he responded that it’s not an honest construct to begin with.
“Let me point out that science is not like passing a law,” he began. “You don’t have a vote to say how many are for the law of gravity and how many are against – it’s based on observations.
“And if you observe what’s happening to, for example, the temperature,” he continued, “it’s not rising nearly as fast as the alarmist computer models predicted. It’s much, much less — factors of two or three less. So the whole basis for the alarmism is not true, it’s based on flawed computer modeling.” (Related: U.N. official actually ADMITS that ‘global warming’ is a scam designed to ‘change world’s economic model’.)
That was too much for Nye, who immediately argued, “That’s completely wrong. He’s cherry picking a certain model. The heat ended up in the ocean. This is not controversial in mainstream science, everybody.”
No Bill, you’re wrong. And it’s “not controversial in mainstream science” because mainstream science is replete with the same kind of ‘church of global warming faithful’ that you belong to. But consensus of Left-wing opinion does not a scientific conclusion make, Science Guy.
In fact, none of the alarmist predictions about ice caps melting and entire continents becoming submerged under ocean water have come true – or are even close to coming true, given that “warming” has not taken place for some 18 years, in sum.
And here’s another question for Science Guy: If human-caused warming/climate change is real, how come all the “mainstream science” agencies feel compelled to manipulate climate data?
See the video here, and ask yourself how the idiots at CNN can give more credence to a snake-oil salesman than a bona fide climate scientist.
